Director of Project Controls – EMEA

To support its projects, an international company is seeking a Director of Project Controls – EMEA.

You wish:

• Adopt and implement innovative ideas from within the business and the workforce.
• Plan the daily resource requirements and communicate these to the construction team.
• Interface with other construction managers and section managers to share best practices and ensure effective resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the achievement of safety targets and enforce a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe working practices.
• Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short-term programs of work.
• Manage the budget and delivery of the project section.
• Monitor external changes to work plans and report the impact of these changes.
• Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress, and design.
• Ensure effective implementation of project management systems and procedures.
• Chair monthly safety committee meetings, take minutes, distribute, and follow up on all actions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Over 15 years of experience in commercial project management.
• Strong background in cost management methodologies.
• Experience working in a European multi-cultural environment.
• Familiarity with various construction contract delivery methods commonly used in EMEA.
• Proven track record in managing and developing direct employees, contractors, subcontractors, and vendor relationships.
• Experience with greenfield site development, ground-up, and retrofit construction projects.
• Knowledge of local, regional, domestic, and international construction codes and health & safety requirements.
• High digital competence with experience using key construction tools.
